I had my brain check-up.

My vision is improving. This should make me extremely happy, but I'm more hung up on the fact that they made my tube too short... which is why my neck/head have little mobility and is why my neck is always sore.

Basically, this isn't going to go away on its own. I need to go under the knife again to fix it. I'm not sure of how it really works, but I do know that my neurosurgeon sucks at returning phone calls. Emphasis on sucks. I need to call and talk to him about it and figure it all out. It's just annoying.

The only ways I can describe the feeling is how it feels to try to do a split when your muscles clearly don't function that way... that pulling/stiffness/pain is what I feel constantly, only from my collarbone to right behind my ear. It's just annoying.. but, then again, life itself is pretty annoying.

That, and my neuro-ophthalmologist was quick to remind me that the shunt can still fail... and if it does, all the risks are back. The people are really nice though. I think I'll like it.

It was funny because everyone kept thinking I was so much older than I really am. It's hysterical. Like, as nice as it would be to be 25, 22, 23... I am sadly only 19 & therefore I can't go out drinking. Bummer.

The people I got hired with are all really nice. This girl Ann, who looks about 19 years old.. but is actually 27?! She's wicked nice. We clicked pretty quickly. This other girl I got hired with was like, "What's a double?" We both looked at each other & died a little bit.

Management is still nice, which is a good sign. Oh, and we get free food when we work? Weird.
Today I saw my uncle Peter cry. I don't do well with seeing grown men cry, especially ones that I care about.

A lot of people were at the wake. Open casket.. but, it might as well have been a stranger because it looked nothing like her.

I was there for about two minutes before Ashley clung to me. I was there about 15 minutes before I just wanted to get her out of there. I took her home to change, then to the mall to walk around and shop. She wanted to eat at Rainforest, so obviously we did. I hope I helped to make her day a little better. We got back to her house and some friends came over. I hope she's doing okay.

I'm tired. Good luck tomorrow, lady. Chin up, always up.

Florida was so much fun. I'm pretty sure it was the best six days of my life thus far. We took about a million pictures, so I won't post them right now.. but seriously, so much fun. I miss the palm trees and warm weather already. I even have a sunburn! Not a really bad one, just one to remind me of the insane amounts of fun we had.

Oh and Tracy is doing well. :)

Yay!
